ECMC
ECMC insures student loans. Over time, their infrastructure became a costly hodgepodge of mainframe and PowerBuilder systems. In order to reduce costs, ECMC decided to consolidate all of their systems. The first system they rewrote was marred by defects and long development cycles. ECMC decided to utilize an Agile approach, with the goal of shortening development cycles and improving quality. ECMC hired Super Go Faster to lead them through the Agile adoption process. The first Agile team completed their initial release in nine months. They achieved 90% unit test code coverage and implemented an automated regression test suite with FIT and Selenium. ECMC, with Super Go Faster's leadership, has successfully completed three more Agile projects and is well on their way to enterprise-wide Agile adoption.
TriMin
TriMin Government Solutions provides software products and services to county government agencies. Until now, their applications only ran on the IBM AS/400 and iSeries. Because of this they were losing market share. TriMin decided to rewrite their applications to run on multiple platforms. TriMin hired Super Go Faster to create the system architecture. Super Go Faster created a Java-based architecture that utilizes proven design patterns. This multi-platform architecture supports Windows, Linux and the iSeries operating system as well as a range of databases. TriMin has successfully rewritten their first application, Land Records Management System, and four counties are presently using the new version. TriMin is in the final phase of rewriting their second application, Integrated Financial System.
